Military medals in the US military serve as recognition for excellent service in the armed forces. There are around 20 types of medals in the military. The basic pay for active-duty personnel determines the computing Reserve component drill pay and the initial levels of retired pay. It varies depending on the pay grade and service duration. There are 15 different longevity levels of military pay.

Military Recruiting: Military Draft
The military draft is the process of calling men between ages 18 and 26 to serve in the US Military. This process comes into use only in war or other national emergencies. The Congress and the President may take the decision regarding the military draft.

When the US Military require more troops than the volunteer military can supply, the Congress can pass a military draft. The President cannot initiate a draft, but his signature is necessary on it.

After the President and the Congress decide in favor of a military draft, a classification program would begin. Various examinations take place on the registrants to check their suitability for military service. They get adequate time to claim exemptions, deferments or postponements. They need to meet the physical, mental and administrative standards of the US Military to get into the services. Local Boards in each community decide on exemptions and deferments for clergymen, ministerial students and men claiming for reclassification as conscientious objectors.

Navy Blue Angels
The Navy Blue Angels are the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron of the US Navy. The first performance of the Navy Blue Angels was at Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, Florida aboard the Grumman F6F Hellcat, led by Lt. Cmdr. Roy "Butch" Voris in 1946. The "diamond" formation was on Grumman F8F Bearcat. Later on, the squad began flying newer and faster versions of different aircrafts like Panther F9F-5, Grumman F9F-8 Cougar, Grumman F11F-1 Tiger, McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II, and McDonnell Douglas A-4F Skyhawk-II.

The most recent addition of the Navy Blue Angels is McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, the first dual-role fighter/attack aircraft of the US Navy. The main mission of this squadron is to increase the navy recruiting and highlight naval aviation to the country as well the whole world.
